Welcome to the Virtual Tour of Stormwater BMPs in Montgomery County, PA!  This webpage is designed to connect you to examples of Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) in and around Montgomery County.  To learn more about Stormwater and BMPs, read our introduction on stormwater, nonpoint pollution, and BMPs called Stormwater 101.

This website is brought to you by the Montgomery County Conservation District.  Funding for this program was provided by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc. through its education grant with PA Department of Environmental Protection and the US Environmental Protection Agency Section 319 Program; and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration through the Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Program administered by the PA Department of Environmental Protection.

How To Use the Virtual Tour

1. Disable any pop-up blockers to ensure you can see all pages of the tour. 

2. You must have Adobe Reader to view the Virtual Tour sites.  For your convenience, the files are saved as pdf files.  This will enable you to print these documents and use them as fact sheets or to aid you as you visit the BMPs.  This is a free program you can download at the Adobe Reader website.

3. Search the List of BMP Tour Sites or Find a tour site in Montgomery County on the BMP Map

4. You can visit the Virtual Tour sites if you follow the proper procedure.  The property owners and managers of the Virtual Tour sites have generously offered access to their property for the educational benefit of the community.  You are welcome to see the BMPs if you plan your visit according to the visitation requirements listed on the List of BMP Tour Sites, and the “Planning your visit” section on each site page.  If you visit the property without adhering to the requested requirements, you will be considered trespassing.   Scheduling an appointment in advance is required at some sites.

5. All tour participants visit BMPs at their own risk.  By visiting the properties located in the Montgomery County Virtual Tour of Stormwater BMPs, you are agreeing to hold harmless from any and all damages that might occur to you and/or your personal property both the Montgomery County Conservation District and the property owner, manager, and/or operator.
